Adding/Editing a Site Section Page

Creating a Site Section Page:

1. In the “Manage Content” menu, click on the link “Site Sections” to get to Site Section Administration Page.
2. Click “Add Page” to create a new section page.  This will open the Add Site Section Form .
3. After filling in the fields, click “Submit Form.”  This brings up the publishing page. Decide what already established page on the site the newly created page will fall under.  This will determine where the new page falls within the hierarchy of the other site sections.   Moreover, if the Parent page contains secondary navigation then the title of the newly created page will display in the secondary navigation and link to the new page.

The section form consists of multiple fields to be completed by the Administrator.  Every section requires a URL ID, Breadcrumb and Section Name. 

Note: Each HTML box comes with an HTML Editor. 

Click on Edit Using HTML Editor to open the HTML Editor tool box.  The HTML Editor comes with a variety of tools to assist administrators create content.  Click to learn more about the FCK editor and a listing of tools it provides.

1. URL ID – URL extension given to the page.  This eventually will become the    
2. Breadcrumb – Title that displays in the breadcrumb and links to. 
3. Section Name – Title that displays as the Header and is used to identify the page on the Site Section Administration page.

1. Grouping Preference - Choose display to arrange featured and regular published content objects by datatype (e.g., General Article, Media File, Documents, etc.),topic, issue, or by module.
2. META Keywords - encoded data that describe characteristics of the page 
3. META Description – encoded description of the page used externally by search engines  
4. Inherit Parent Template – Clicking on box will make site section display in the same template as the one above it in the navigational hierarchy. 
5. Template - Determines the layout of the page based on the customized template
6. URL PATH (automatic) – Provided after page is created
